GLAD is a time-of-flight diffractometer optimised for structural measurements on glasses and liquids. More than 200 3He linear position-sensitive detectors spanning a nearly continuous range of 2q from low to high angles ensure good statistics yet still acceptable Q resolution.

Experimental programs include structural measurements on amorphous ice, geological and high pressure glasses, superacids, optical materials, oxide and non-oxide glasses, hydrogenous liquids and polymers.
